More on SDA

This product is denatured with Bitrex, an intensely bitter but odorless compound that renders the alcohol undrinkable. A permit may be required to use this product.
SDAs are often used in cosmetic products, sanitizer products, and can also be used in chemical manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and solvents.
